

Overview
The 14th Annual Heartland Film Festival took place October 13-21, 2005, and screened 24 films at AMC Theatres Castleton Square, AMC Theatres Greenwood Park, and the Indiana History Center. The theme for the festival was Truly Moving Pictures have their own special effects.
Michael Tollin and Brian Robbins attended the Festival and were honored with the Pioneering Spirit Award. Other special guests include Ken Swapis (Director, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, TMPA), John Gatins (Director, Dreamer), Dakota Fanning (Actor, Dreamer), Patricia Heaton (Producer, The Bituminous Coal Queen of Pennsylvania), David Hunt (Director, The Bituminous Coal Queen of Pennsylvania), Sara Rush (Actor, The Bituminous Coal Queen of Pennsylvania), Caroll Ballard (Director, Duma), and Bill Paxton (Actor).
