Overview
The 16th Annual Heartland Film Festival took place October 18-26, 2007, and screened 20 films at the AMC Theatres Castleton Square, AMC Theatres Greenwood, and Regal Entertainment Group UA Circle Centre. The theme for the festival was Dramatically Different.
Jason Russell, Bobby Bailey, Laren Poole attended the Festival and were honored with the Pioneering Spirit Awards for their film “Invisible Children.” Other special guests include Mark Zoradi (President, Walt Disney Studios), Haley Joel Osment (Actor, Home of the Giants), Richard Lewis (Filmmaker, August Rush), and David Benioff (Screenwriter, The Kite Runner).
