Overview
The 26th Annual Heartland Film Festival took place October 12-22, 2017, and hosted screenings at the AMC Castleton Square Theater, Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields, and AMC Showplace Traders Point.
“LBJ” was the Opening Night film and director Rob Reiner attended the screening. Heartland Film honored him and Alan Ladd, Jr. with the Pioneering Spirit Lifetime Achievement Award.
Heartland Film also hosted Cultural Journey India in the spring and the Inaugural Indy Shorts International Film Festival in the summer of 2017.
