Overview
The 27th Annual Heartland International Film Festival took place October 11-21, 2018, and featured 200+ films and 300+ screenings at the AMC Castleton Square Theater, Newfields, and AMC Showplace Traders Point.
Heartland Film honored Gale Anne Hurd and Hal Linden with the Pioneering Spirit Lifetime Achievement Award. “Mr. Soul!” was the Opening Night film and director Melissa Haizlip attended the screening.
Heartland Film also hosted Cultural Journey Mexico in the spring and the 2nd Annual Indy Shorts International Film Festival in the summer of 2018.
