Overview

The 9th Annual Heartland Film Festival took place October 18-26, 2000, and hosted screenings at Castleton Arts, Franklin College,  Greenwood Park Mall, and the Indiana Historical Society. More than $100,000 was awarded at the Crystal Heart Awards Gala to the filmmakers behind the film screened at the Festival. 

Maureen O’Hara attended the Festival and was honored with the Career Achievement Award presented by Beth Poson. Other special guests include Jodi Benson (Actor, Joseph: King of Dreams), Randy Storms (Actor, John John in the Sky), Sean Young (Actor, Amati Girls), Gregory Allen Howard (Writer, Remember the Titans), and Ryan Hurst (Actor, Remember the Titans).
